The Secret Walls - Laci Jordan
Jimi sits down with Laci Jordan, the third and final artist in our SW X Bentley Art In Motion project. The Art In Motion project hosted three young artists at our SW HQ to create unique pieces of work in their signature styles inspired by design elements of the new Bentley Bentayga SUV. The pieces created during this residency are currently up for auction with all proceeds going to Inner City Arts, an LA-based nonprofit. Laci is a multi-disciplinary designer and creative director from Huntsville, Alabama who is now based in LA. She works across the mediums of illustration, graphic design, product design, and photography but is most widely known for her illustrative work for clients like The New York Times, Calvin Klein and SXSW. Her art is focused around color, pop culture, and representations of people of color. With a theme of “Everyday Life”, her subjects range from portraits of women to her favorite sneakers, often presented with “no filter” authenticity. In this episode Laci and Jimi discuss parental life lessons, working across mediums, meditation, staying balanced creatively and Laci's thoughts about the Bentayga.
