I had no idea that tie-dye was originally invented by Nigerians in Kano. 
These are the Kofar Mata dye pits dating back to 1498!
It was so impressive to me how this tie-dye was made with indigo, and there were so many different processes of actually dying, the material and creating the dye itself.
How is indigo turned into die? I had no idea before this, but it’s a very impressive process. What exports does Nigeria have? Well I did not realize that this amazing fabric was one of them but it is.
What is there to see Nigeria? Visiting Kano, Nigeria is a very special part of the country with many interesting things to see.
